Vastu traditionally favors the northeast, north, or east for a home's main entrance.

In traditional Vastu Shastra, the main entrance is considered one of the most significant elements of a home, believed to govern how energy (traditionally described as prana) enters the household. The northeast, north, and east are generally favored, associated with the rising sun and considered auspicious directions to welcome guests and daily life.
The southwest is traditionally considered the least favorable direction for a main entrance, associated instead with stability and best reserved for the master bedroom.
